Marquee FAQ’s
-
Determining the appropriate marquee size for your event involves considering several factors:
Available space: Assess the size and accessibility of the area where the marquee will be placed, as well as the surrounding elements.
Guest numbers: Provide us with an estimate of the number of guests attending your event, including the bridal party if it's a wedding.
Function style: Decide whether your event will be standing/cocktail style or seated.
Dance floor: Consider if you would like to allocate space for a dance floor.
Catering: Consult with your caterer to see what space they need.

A level surface is important for the proper setup of the marquee. If the ground is uneven, it might impact the structure's stability and overall appearance. If you're unsure about the levelness of the area, it's recommended to discuss it with our team.
Installing a raised floor can be helpful in addressing any unevenness. It not only provides a level surface for the marquee setup but also adds an extra layer of comfort and protection for your guests.

There are a number of Party Hire companies that hire heaters and air conditioning units.

While there's no one-size-fits-all answer, ensuring your marquee is securely anchored is crucial for safety and stability.
We use either pegs or weights (or sometimes a combination of both) along the sides of the marquee. The pegs we use for securing marquees are 90cm long.
It's essential to ensure there are no underground services where you plan to use the pegs. If there are no services present, you can use the pegs safely. However, if there are services underground, it's necessary to use weights instead to avoid any damage.
Our weights are similar to temporary fencing weights and are covered with a white cover (using the same material as the marquee).

We acknowledge that every event is unique, and sometimes photos or a video call can provide sufficient information to plan your marquee.
However, there are occasions where a site inspection is necessary to address specific concerns or complexities.
Typically, we assess the need for site inspections on a case-by-case basis.
However, as these visits require time and resources, we generally request that a booking, along with a deposit, be made beforehand. This allows us to prioritise site visits.
Adjustments to the final order can then be made after the inspection.
